Preview the customizer before publishing

Open the shopper preview, test the required choices, and check both desktop and mobile layouts before going live.

Use Composerie’s customer preview to test the actual personalization flow before you publish. This is more reliable than judging placement from a static theme-editor placeholder.

Test the same fields and live preview that a desktop shopper will use.

Desktop check

Open the product’s design, open the customer form dock from the right edge of the canvas, and select Open full preview. Complete the fields, switch product options, and inspect the canvas. The preview’s Add to Cart remains disabled even with valid input; test the actual cart on the intended storefront publication separately.

Mobile check

Check the narrow layout separately so controls remain readable and easy to tap.

Test at a narrow phone width. Look for clipped labels, controls that require sideways scrolling, and a canvas that leaves too little room for the form. Long select menus and image upload are particularly useful checks.

Why does the preview action stay disabled?

Customer Preview does not enable checkout. Its Add to Cart remains disabled even after all fields are valid.

Does Preview publish the product?

No. It previews current editor state, including unsaved edits, without changing the publication.

What should I test on mobile?

Complete every field, use image upload if present, switch options, and verify that the main action remains reachable.

Next

Publish the tested design, then follow troubleshoot theme placement if the live store differs.
